Creating an AI Ally

 

This game is the final result of my entire university course.

During the final module, I have researched into different AI allies in today's games and learnt about what makes good and bad allies. With this information and more, I was able to create my very own AI companion in this fast-paced, action shooter set in space.

This game makes use of several techniques including the creation of grid nodes, A* pathfinding, Finite State Machines, Behaviour control as well as finding creative ways of using Unity's many in-built components. For example, manipulating sphere and box colliders to create a sense of immersions by providing the AI with its own sense of sight and touch.
